BLINDED
The mind of a sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

*Romans 8:6-8
*1 corinthians 2:14
*2 corinthians 4:4

"The devil has made deadly use of authority that has been given to him to shup up the human mind against God. The mind is blinded against truth. the Bible is quite clear that man's first problem with the Gospel is not that he is unwilling to believe but that he is unable to understand.
You will often become aware of this in speaking to people about Christ. They hear the words, they understand the grammatical sense of what you are saying, but somehow the truth that the words convey is totally uncomprehended. This is satanically devised blindness which human eloquence and persuasion is quite unable to penetrate.
Man is thus in a hopeless position. He cannot find God because satanic dominion in his mind is set to keep him blinded against divine truth. He cannot break free from his mental bondage even if he wants to, because he is under an authority that will not let him go.
Paradoxically, the struggle to get rid of thoughts which he hates can even genrate guilt feelings, because it is seen as rebellion against legitimate authority."
